CoinCover is a blockchain cybersecurity company protecting cryptocurrency users by ensuring assets and access are secure through preventive measures, recovery solutions, and insurance-backed warranties.

We designed an intuitive customer portal that demonstrates the value of CoinCover's protection products, as well as allowing users to independently manage their accounts.

Challenge

CoinCover needed a centralised portal where customers could easily manage their accounts and access key features of their blockchain protection services.

The challenge was to design an intuitive and user-friendly interface that would empower customers to take control of their accounts, view essential product metrics, and better understand the value CoinCover delivers in ensuring blockchain security.

Solution

We designed a web-based customer portal that puts CoinCover’s protection features at users’ fingertips. The portal enables customers to manage their accounts independently, view product statistics, and track the effectiveness of their blockchain security.

Additionally, the portal provides easy access to support and detailed product information, ensuring a seamless user experience that builds trust and engagement.

Prioritising features

To ensure the customer portal delivered maximum value while staying aligned with project goals, we used the MoSCoW method to prioritise features. Once features were categorised, we grouped them into different release phases, ensuring the most critical functionality was delivered first.

We used a digital whiteboard to group the user stories, certain parts of this image have been obscured.

WIREFRAMES

EXPLORING LAYOUTS WITH LO-FI WIREFRAMES

To design an intuitive dashboard, we began by creating lo-fi wireframes. This approach allowed us to quickly explore multiple layout options and focus on the structure and hierarchy of information without getting caught up in visual details.

FINAL SOLUTION

A portal that delivers value and empowers customers to manage their accounts, track key metrics, and access support easily

KEY FEATURES

Customers have the ability to update their ACL contacts and start the verification process.

Customers can view all documentation associated with their protection in one convenient space. They can filter and download different types of documents.

Customers are able to view what risks are protected in their plan, and have the ability to upgrade their protection to a higher plan.

Customers are able to see all transactions that are screened and if any are alerted as potentially dangerous, and the reason for this.

UI DESIGN

We utilised best practices from design systems, component libraries, and variables to ensure a consistent and scalable UI. By creating a design system, we maintained a cohesive visual language, while the component library enabled reusable, standardised UI elements.

We also used variables to create the light mode and dark mode.

I worked with Emma as a UX Consultant for a Digital Assets Management platform, coming from a graphic design background she wanted to enhance her career by moving into the field of UX and UI. We subsequently built the portal from scratch in Figma, utilizing all the best practices of design systems, component libraries, and variables, but also embracing the power of User Testing with Maze.

She was a pleasure to mentor and work with and I am sure she will go on to be a truly great designer and hope to work with her again.
